Woven Group - case update
Joint Administrators of the various entitles comprising the Woven Group have secured a sale of the Group’s business and assets, saving over 1,000 jobs.
The Woven Group of companies, which had UK offices in Bristol and Ipswich, as well as operations in Cape Town, South Africa, provided business process outsourcing services to clients in the retail, automotive, travel and tourism and utilities sectors.
Geoff Rowley and Philip Armstrong of FRP Advisory were appointed Joint Administrators over the various entities of the Woven Group in March and April 2023 after the companies’ finances suffered as a result of rising inflation, growing competition and the impact of COVID-19 on their client base.
Following their appointment, the Joint Administrators continued to trade the business for three months while engaging potential purchasers. Now, the Joint Administrators have secured a sale of the companies’ business and assets to various purchasers, saving a significant number of employees’ jobs - over 1,000 across the UK and South Africa.
The Joint Administrators have been assisted by Norton Rose Fulbright and Fladgate. Their proposals can be found HERE.
